JEAN-PAUL CORBEIL design
Jean-Paul Corbeil is a Canadian fashion designer, currently based in Montreal.
Unsatisfied with clothes off the rack, Jean-Paul began to create his own unique pieces in his adolescence. What began as personal experiments progressed into a tumultuous passion.
Leaving his modest Canadian prairie life behind, Jean-Paul sought and found inspiration in Japan, where he lived for a number of years while developing his aesthetic. After a stint as an instructor at a Japanese fashion college, he returned to Canada and made his base in Montreal.
Applying a keen focus on menswear, Jean-Paul designs with clean lines, a street edge and an avant-gardian spirit. His uncommon style led Elle Quebec to name him one of 15 designers to watch (June 2010), of which he was one of only three menswear creators.
Jean-Paul continues to create capsule collections that are sold privately and through various boutiques & pop-up stores.
